Troy show tickets: how to book
How to book the Troy dinner show in Hersonissos: what the Viator ticket covers, pickup or your own way, picking a night and what to bring.
Book Troy on Viator ↗What the ticket covers
The Viator ticket pays for the Troy show and dinner, in an evening of about three hours. The booking offers pickup from listed hotels in the Heraklion, Hersonissos and Gouves area, or you can meet at the venue. The booking page also lists wheelchair access, strollers welcome, service animals allowed and infant seats. Anything beyond dinner and the show, such as extra drinks, is for you to check on the option's own page on Viator.
Pickup or meeting at the venue
Choose pickup if your hotel is on the list and you would rather not arrange a taxi, particularly with children. Choose the venue meeting point if you are staying in the centre of Hersonissos, where the production's own site says the theatre is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Hotel lists change from season to season, so read the list on the booking page itself rather than relying on a guide.
Picking a night
Troy is seasonal, with summer dinner shows listed by the production. Open dates and their start times appear in the Viator calendar. If your holiday dates are fixed, look for those nights before booking flights; if they are flexible, choose a night away from the start and end of your trip so a delay does not cost you the evening.
Changing your mind
Viator refunds in full if you cancel a day or more before the show. After that, do not count on a refund or a change of date. The sensible moment to book is once your travel dates are certain, with the cancellation deadline noted in your own diary.
Families and larger parties
Enter the full size of your party in the Viator calendar before choosing a night, because availability is shown for the party you enter. The booking page lists infant seats and strollers as welcome, so a party with babies does not need a different ticket. If you are travelling as several families, book together so that your tables are arranged as a group, and ask the operator through Viator if you want to sit near one another.
Accessibility
The booking page lists wheelchair access, service animals allowed and strollers welcome. It does not describe the layout of the room, the route from the pickup vehicle or the position of the toilets. If any of that matters to your party, ask the operator through Viator before you pay, and save the answer next to your confirmation.
Booking on Viator or direct
Tickets are sold on Viator, where this guide's links go, and through the production's own booking form, which also takes transfer requests from farther away. Prices move, so compare the two before you pay. A Viator booking carries Viator's terms, and a direct one carries the production's. Either way, save the confirmation to your phone.
On the night
Bring your confirmation. If you booked pickup, be at the pickup point in good time. If you are meeting at the venue, aim to arrive early enough to find your table before the room fills. Each table has a QR code, and a password appears on the LED screen. The production's own site says phone use is optional, so a flat battery is not a reason to stay away.
Who this isn't for
If you want to be sure of a specific night months ahead, wait until the calendar shows it. If your party includes teenagers who would prefer a late-night show, read the comparison guide before booking. And if you want a menu you can read in advance, note that the dinner menu is published only as images.
